In 2015, a test was conducted with 40 children with autism who showed the fever response. Some children took part in the test even if it was not known if they showed the fever response, since not all of them had had a fever. Children were asked to drink a tube of broccoli sprout juice a day for 4 weeks. Abstract: The phenomenon of protein aggregation and amyloid formation has become the subject of rapidly increasing research activities across a wide range of scientific disciplines. Such activities have been stimulated by the association of amyloid deposition with a range of debilitating medical disorders, from Alzheimer’s disease to type II diabetes, many of which are major threats to human health and welfare in the modern world. It has become clear, however, that the ability to form the amyloid state is more general than previously imagined, and that its study can provide unique insights into the nature of the functional forms of peptides and proteins, as well as understanding the means by which protein homeostasis can be maintained and protein metastasis avoided.
[This study suggests that this mis-folding of proteins is the genesis of many conditions associated with neurological development or neurological decay. Other studies indicate that sulforaphane can stop or reverse this mis-folding.]

What’s so good about raw food?
The nutrients within foods can be more easily digested when the enzymes in those foods are still intact. In Vegus Juices the important nutrients are sulforaphane in broccoli sprouts juice and chlorophyll in wheatgrass juice.
Why are Enzymes Important?
Enzymes are important because they help break down the food you eat into usable components. This means that the body does not have to produce these in order to perform the digestive function.
Cooking and heating over 45 degrees Celsius (113 degrees Fahrenheit) denatures (destroys) these enzymes. The heat changes their structure and makes them inactive. Because most enzymes occurring naturally in food are killed off during processing or cooking, the body lacks the tools to breakdown heated or freeze dried foods properly. This means that instead of being fully digested, the food it is processed in the gut by fermentation with sugars. This leads to indigestion, bloating and constipation. Worst of all the body doesn’t get the food values it needs. When eating food that still has enzymes present, your food is properly digested so you are able to assimilate all the goodness out of the food your body will feel more satisfied, leaving you less likely crave unhealthy foods.
